The Totus Tuus Festival

for students and young professionals
around 15 August

  • The intensity of a retreat — the fraternity of a festival

  • The festival’s DNA: 🔥 Called — ⚓ Offered — 🌍 Sent

Called: allowing Christ to touch our hearts and call each of us to life in Him.

Offered: learning to give our lives to God and to others.

Sent: becoming witnesses in the Church and in the world.

The festival’s spiritual journey draws inspiration in particular from:

    • St Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort

    • St Thérèse of Lisieux

St John Paul II Missionary Vocational Cenacles

For priests :
Fraternal groups for sanctification and mission

  • These are fraternal groups dedicated to formation, sharing and reflecting together on the missionary practices of their priest members.

Formed together in connection with the UMV and rooted in the diocese where they serve, while remaining open to the universal vocational mission of the Church, the priests of each Cenacle deepen two particularly important aspects of vocational mission:

    • Vocational preaching, sometimes itinerant, in the various ecclesial settings of their diocese

    • Vocational spiritual accompaniment

Together, they form an apostolic body dedicated to vocational mission and the renewal of their diocese.

Objectives

To encourage and support one another in proclaiming the Good News of Vocation.

To foster the sanctification of its members and their vocational mission.

  • Experiencing Holy Thursday centred on Christ the High Priest, and preparing spiritually for Pentecost with the Virgin Mary.

  • Contemplating the priesthood of Christ the High Priest as the source of priests’ holiness and of the call to baptismal priestly self-offering.

  • Praying the Litanies of Christ the High Priest together every Thursday.

Christ the High Priest is the Master of vocations. He forms the members of each St John Paul II Missionary Cenacle, both directly and indirectly.

St John Paul II Missionary Vocational Families

For married couples, with or without children, and widows and widowers

Through the mysteries of Christ — His childhood, apostolic life, Passion and glory — as well as the liturgical year and the Rosary, we contemplate Christ the High Priest and Master of vocations.

Formed through the grace of the UMV, we deepen our understanding of the Gospel of Vocations and the Gospel of the Priesthood. We seek to accompany young people according to their age, respond to the Church’s present challenges and live out the universal vocational mission of the Church as a family.

The Gospel of the Family
The Gospel of Work
The Gospel of Vocations
The Gospel of the Priesthood

  • To pray the UMV prayer daily and enthrone Jesus the Priest in the home, praying for vocations, fostering vocations throughout the world and supporting those who have received a call

  • To grow in our understanding of the beauty of marriage, of man and woman, of family, work, culture and creation, through Scripture and Tradition, so as to participate more fully in the mission of the Church

  • To provide spiritual and material support, in the charism of the UMV, for the Church’s parish, diocesan and universal vocational missions

  • To educate and pass on an understanding of vocation to children, movements, parishes and others

  • To remain available for vocational mission through the grace of the UMV

  • To promote knowledge of and devotion to Jesus the Priest, the Master of vocations

Charism

How it works

  • Two hours per month

  • One group evening with a designated UMV priest

  • Two visits per year from the chaplain to each family, including catechesis for the children

  • Two formation weekends

  • Additional formation resources available on our website

The Prayer to Jesus the Priest

Contemplating, praying to and enthroning the Priestly Heart of Jesus the Priest

This prayer, promoted by members of the UMV, leads souls towards Christian maturity: offering themselves in Christ the Priest and thereby fostering the vocations the Church needs.

For holy vocations

I choose You today, Jesus Christ, High Priest,

In the presence of the whole heavenly court,

As my Saviour, my Lord,

And the Master of my vocation and of all vocations.

Take and receive all my freedom,

My memory, my understanding and my entire will;

All that I possess comes from You, and to You I return it.

Everything is Yours; dispose of it according to Your perfect will,

So that it may serve the greater glory of the Most Holy Trinity

And the vocational mission of the whole Church.

Priestly Heart of Jesus,

Together with my brothers and sisters of the Union Missionnaire Vocationnelle,

We place our vocations in Your hands.

Make us holy missionaries of vocations.

With Your Mother, the Most Holy Virgin Mary,

Help us to contemplate and share with the world the beauty of vocations.

Help us to love the Church and serve her generously,

In her diocesan and universal dimensions.

Help us to support the Pope, the bishops, the priests

And all the baptised in their vocational mission.

Holy Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for us.

Our Lady of Mount Carmel, pray for us.

Queen of Apostles, pray for us.

Mother of priests, pray for us.

Mother of consecrated persons, pray for us.

Educator of Christian families, pray for us.

St Joseph, protector of vocations, pray for us.

St Joseph, educator of vocations, pray for us.

St John Paul II, pray for us.

St Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort, pray for us.

St Thérèse of the Child Jesus and of the Holy Face, pray for us.

Lord, give us priests.

Lord, give us holy priests.

Lord, give us many holy priests.

Lord, give us many holy consecrated vocations.

Lord, give us many holy Christian families,

For Your greater glory in time and eternity.

Jesus, Merciful High Priest, we trust in You.

Jesus, High Priest and Bridegroom of souls and of the Church, offer us as a living sacrifice.

Most Holy Trinity, unite us to Yourself.

Amen ✠

The priests of the UMV offer to enthrone Jesus the Priest and His Priestly Heart in priests’ homes, families, parishes, religious congregations, propaedeutic programmes, seminaries, shrines and other settings.

St John-Paul II Compagny

This community of priests is primarily dedicated to promoting the ministerial priesthood. Following in the footsteps of St John Paul II, its members are called to contemplate Christ the Merciful High Priest and His work of redemption, made present in the mystery of the Eucharistic sacrifice.

This priestly spirituality is rooted in three dimensions, inspired by the community’s heavenly patrons: the Virgin Mary, St John Paul II and St Louis-Marie Grignion de Montfort.

Oblature of the St John-Paul II Compagny

This is a personal commitment to live as an oblate of Christ the High Priest, offering everything one experiences each day for the raising up and sanctification of priests, seminarians and consecrated persons.

This commitment gives direction to our Christian life. We grow in holiness by helping seminarians, priests and consecrated persons to grow in holiness.

It is a contemplative commitment before it is an apostolic one, lived out in the ordinary circumstances of everyday life.
